I sought treatment for mood dysregulation and anxiety during a traumatic situation. When I disclosed my status as an Autistic patient (I was diagnosed as a child and again as an adult by her own referral) she labeled me attention seeking. I changed meds two times in 16 months due to life impacting side effects and she misdiagnosed me with BPD claiming it meant I was attention seeking and impulsive. I sought further proof and she said I was too worried about my wife (who had been psychotic and catatonic for a year while we were forced to be separated due to policies at a homeless shelter). I had myself outside evaluated and the diagnosis was removed. She diagnosed me with an eating disorder then proceeded to give me diet and exercise tips. I have ARFID and the shelter had no food I could eat so she decided it was EDNOS. The med she treated anxiety with has no studies showing it works and it interacted with my high blood pressure medicine (which was on file) and nearly killed me.
