Dr. Vince Nguyen, MD

I have read some critical reviews here and have only had one appointment with Dr. Nguyen in October of 2023. My impression was that he was quite confident in his knowledge of my condition, and I felt relieved that he asked all the right questions and seemed interested in giving me the best care. I did not feel confident in the care of my previous cardiologist, so Dr. Nguyen was a breath of fresh air. I have another appointment with him in January and will update my review after that visit. I hope I get the same impression. Oh, and I called the office today to ask a question about an upcoming prescription renewal and someone answered the phone immediately and was able answer my questions and help me on the spot, so that was a relief as well. So far, I am happy.

i gave up trying to get a return phone call about my positive cardiac scan. no response after many vm left. they just dont answer the phone or return calls. theres no my chart or other portal. its not a methodist clinic. i am very disappointed. so i looking for a different md.

The doctor is great, when you get to see him. Consistantly late to appointments. Office staff overbooks, doesn't call in perscriptions when they say they will. It often takes 4 phone calls to get 1 perscription filled. Finally got tired of it after 4 years. Made the doctor aware of it many times & he just doesnt care enough to do something about it. Its a shame

My appointment with Dr. Nguyen at Comprehensive Cardiology far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Nguyen and his staff were so friendly and professional and put me at ease immediately. My regular cardiologist recently retired, and I am searching for a new cardiologist to take his place. After my office visit with Dr. Nguyen, I have found one! Thank you so much, Dr. Nguyen!

Dr. Nguyen is great. Very professional but has a great sense of humour. Treats his patients with concern and passion.

I had an echo cardiogram and wanted and evaluation. The echo was performed well at the Friendswood office. The technician did a great job. Getting results feedback from Dr Nguyen was not successful. I did get a entry of "active" in my online portal file, but the doctor missed two scheduled telephone calls to discuss my condition. I went to the Nassau Bay office for one scheduled visit but the wait was hours long I was told and the waiting room was bedlam. Use the Friendswood office if you can. I was not pleased with my experience and am now going to a different doctor.

He takes time with his patients

VERY OPERATION HAPPY! Patient who has no heart problem history, athletic, and in her 50s, was being coerced into getting a pacemaker by this cardiologist. He was very dismissive towards patient's concerns and wanted to insert pacemaker STAT. Tried scare tactics to convince patient. Patient was extremely uncomfortable with this cardiologist and didn't feel listened to. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!

He has been taking care of my Grandmother. She told him she did not feel comfortable with him as her Cardiologist as he hasn't been monitoring her Heart Monitor which made her go into emergency surgery. Then he put the Pace Maker in without providing her with Antibiotics which caused a major infection. She asked to seek another opinion and his response was that he would drop her as a patient if she did. Unethical & unprofessional.

Dr. Nguyen is a great doctor. My whole family sees him. he is very thorough in all that he does, including when i have questions regarding other parts of my health. His front office staff and the young blonde girl who goes into rooms with him are great and very helpful. The only problem is trying to get a hold of the office nurse, Teri. She does not return calls in a timely fashion and when she finally does, she takes another month to get the answers to the questions I asked. We love Dr. Nguyen!

This is the first time ever that I've been repulsed by a doctor due to their body odor. That and the excessive wait time made me run out the door and find another doctor.

This is a worst medical service I have ever seen. I do not want give it even one star, but I have to do that to finish my comments

Dr. Nguyen is thorough in all testing before giving a diagnosis. My heart is now beating at the normal rate, thanks to the pacemaker he prescribed. He answered all my questions and took time to listen. I am taking the prescriptions which he has prescribed and am doing fine. I go in for checkups when needed. He is my Cardiologist, and I highly recommend him to anyone having heart problems.
