Great Experience
I went to Dr. Alani because my PCP wanted a second opinion before I did decide to have hip surgery. The process was seamless. His staff was polite and friendly. His account manager responded to my emails in a timely manner. Dr. Alani was informative and patient with all the questions I had. I ended up choosing him instead of the initial doctor I saw. I am recovering very well and appreciate all the assistance I received from his staff before and after my surgery. My mom needs a hip surgery as well and I'm definitely recommending Dr. Alani.

I never got to see Dr Alani. His x-ray technician told me that I had sciatica and he did not treat that. I asked what can I at least speak to him or see him since I drove an hour to get here and waited over an hour and 6 minutes in the waiting room. Nope no way. Could they recommend someone else? No she just told me I would probably need to see a neurosurgeon or someone who works on the spine and back. I was leaving and try to speak to the receptionist who could not put the phone down or that person on hold long enough to help me out. I was in excruciating pain and extremely upset. The office manager and X-ray tech were huddled together talking about me and I lost it cursing them out. They told me to have a nice day as I left. Not one person has called or responded to my concerns or complaint

Exceptionally competent
I had a torn meniscus and arthritis in my knee. Dr Alani did the surgery to address the meniscus and multiple treatments to reduce the arthritis pain. Throughout, he was caring and his extensive experience was apparent. I have no reservations about recommending him.

The doctor was excellent and very informative. Ive had other doctors who did not explain anything however Dr. Alani spent time showing me models of what was wrong. I’m very happy i came to see him and have felt very good since the visit. I’m getting physical therapy on my hip now.

Avoid at all costs. Alani is going to spend a maximum of 5-10 to minutes on you during your appointment. He's overbooked with surgeries and takes weeks to get back to you. His office administrators and surgery schedulers are even worse. You won't be able to get in touch with them beyond scheduling your first appointment. DO NOT make the mistake of scheduling online thinking they're competent and caring. Their ratings are totally skewed, inaccurate, and potentially riddled with fake review profiles. They'll email you a questionnaire after your first visit and if you say it was a "good" experience their Google Reviews page will pop up which totally skews the reviews. The actual performance of this office appallingly bad...They're less of a medical office helping people and more of an operation maximizing profits and surgeries.

Dr. Alani himself is a good Dr., however his Office Staff is horrible. This review is based solely on his staff. His staff seem to think their Dr's although they don't hold a (Dr.) degree. I've never dealt with a group that interjects in patients business as if they were the Dr. himself. I hope that someone (office manager),would interject asap and correct this abuse of authority before it causes severe trouble!

Dr. Alani was the only orthopedist that didn't have over a month long waitlist, but turns out it's because he doesn't spend longer than 10 minutes per visit. Dr. Alani is eager to schedule elective surgeries (performing up to 10 from 7AM-12PM in a single day). Dr. Alani does not listen to the concerns of his patients and does not even check his charts before/during appointments. I had 3 procedures scheduled successively with Dr. Alani- during the last, a cortisone shot, Dr. Alani asked me in the pre-op room where he should put the shot (as if I should know better than him, when he was the one who recommended the shot and I am not a doctor). Dr. Alani checked my progress on shoulder surgery 2 months down the road by asking me to raise my arm, which I was able to do in the appointment I had 2 weeks after the surgery. That was the extent of the check in. All in all I think he's greedy and money hungry with no dedication to the healing profession. Also the appointment staff is incompetent.

Dr. Alalni seem like a good doctor. I ended up going with a different orthopedic surgeon because of his office manager Janet. She was most unhelpful, unprofessional, and extremely confrontational asking me things such as "don't you go to the store" because I was inquiring for options not o have to go to the office only to make a payment and get unnecessary exposure to the coronavirus. She kept insisting and asked "aren't you a dentist?", and "you're going to get exposed to the virus when you come to the hospital for the surgery". Again, all very unprofessional on her part. Do not recommend this office.
