My husband was seen by Dr. Kreisl at Columbia. Dr. Kreisl told my husband there is nothing wrong with his cognitive functioning. 9 months later, as I saw my husband continue to decline, I obtained a copy of the neuropsychological testing. I was shocked to see how poorly my husband did on the testing. Dr. Kreisl did not convey this to us at all. His words were, “ I’ve seen a lot worse.” My husband is a lawyer and I wanted to bring him for testing because I didn’t want him to continue working without having all his mental faculties. The recommendation in the report was that based on the results of the testing my husband should consider stopping work. Dr. Kreisel told us the exact opposite of this! Steer clear of Dr. Kreisl!! I don’t understand how such an incompetent person can work at a world renowned institution.

Dr. Kreisl was thorough, knowledgeable, polite, courteous, generous with his tinme and very caring. He provided excellent recommendations and then followed up the same day of our appointment to clarify some things about the initial assessment.
