5 1/2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 4 Renal Cell Carcinoma. He was calm and confident (extremely confident), professional voice when the wheels were falling of of my life. His work was impeccable. His staff is top notch. I owe him a dept of gratitude without him I likely wouldn't be here today.

Very arrogant! Empathy just isn’t there! If u challenge him he give you a quite mean look! Wouldn’t recommend him. Certainly couldn’t help me with my issue. Going elsewhere!

Dr, Utz is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and provided me with answers, reassurance, yet was very honest about my condition. I literally went to him in a very worried state and left concerned, but informed and able to function through the process and plan that he created. I was very impressed. His expertise in the area of urology is exceptional. I thank God that I am under his care.

My husband has been a patient of Dr Utz's for over 10 years and sees him on a regular basis d/t cancer history. We both have only the utmost regard for him - his clinical skills and expertise, his professional manner and caring, compassionate bedside manner, his candid and honest approach to even very difficult issues. We trust him without reservation and would never consider seeing anyone but him.

Dr Utz is the only doctor we have ever seen that made sure we fully understood what was wrong & how he was going to fix it in terms that we could understand. He was honest and prepared us for all scenarios. During all of our appointments, he is connected, he turns his chair to us, looks us straight in the eye & we talk. His bedside manner is thorough. I had a question after surgery once we got home & Dr Utz himself called me. He & his staff took excellent care of my husband and me.

I give the guy a 5. I like his manner and his concern for my overall health. He takes care of my father and my brothers. Referred me to a GP who is just as good. I just moved back to Mpls and came from a Urologist I liked - was worried I wouldn't find comparable. I would and have recommended Utz to others. He is tough to get into - a testament to his popularity.

Met with doctor and he reviewed my concern and decided to do cystoscopy.. At the end of the appointment he noted his observation confirmed I needed an operation for enlarged prostate.. He gave me a card to stop and see his receptionist to make an appointment. I received no warning of possible infections potential from the autoclaved scope. In 2 days right before a weekend I came down with flu like symptoms and dizziness,chills along with coordination issues. I got with septic infection.

Long time patient of Dr. Utz. However, on my last visit, I had an experience similar to that of Chaska. Inappropriate, unprofessional rant and very short-tempered. Not the behavior I have been used to.
I'm looking for a new urologist.

He was the weekend fill in when my husband had cancer surgery. Not only did he think it was his decision to try to override the pain team and switch up my husband's pain meds, but he did so while ranting about immigrants, Somalis in particular. So rude and unprofessional.
