I saw Ms. Tallent because I had a 4 month, nonstop period. Ms. Tallent suggested hormonal birth control pill without a recommendation for labs or imaging. When I asked if we should be concerned about the 4 months of bleeding and investigate the cause, she said no. I questioned further, and she said everyone’s hormones are different and that lifestyle and diet do not affect your hormones. Her bedside manner was alarming, she had a hard time being kind and understanding. I felt that she was purposely trying to make me feel stupid when I pushed labs and imaging. I heard her give the exact same run around to a woman experiencing menopause while I was waiting to be seen. I heard her tell the woman that menopause is just tough and there was no point to doing bloodwork or investigating her specific hormone situation. All said, probably avoid this provider if you need someone willing to investigate the WHY behind your symptoms. Not a safe way to treat problems.
