Explain my condition adequately. Didn't really trust the front staff because I felt they were trying to get me to ask about pain meds which I didn't want/need. The moment I told them I was allergic to pain meds, the attitude changed. This had nothing to do with Dr.Wright though

The reason I came to this forum was because I really wanted to give a compliment to the nurse practitioner that cared for me in the Urgent Care. Dr. Wright, NP went out of her way to make me feel that my visit was the most important thing even though the office was quite busy. Excellent care from start to finish. I am also very impressed that BSW encourages nurses to further their education & become NPs & earn their doctorates. Proud to be with Baylor Scott & White for 15 yrs.

Misrepresents her qualifications and terrible care. She wants to be called doctor, but she is not one, which is obvious. If she comes in your room, you might as well walk out. She should not be working in this career.

...ear, it was a fungal ear infection that he had to clean out. The ENT and the nurse (both amazing) were confused as to why she never sent in the ear drop prescription and obviously why she didn't do a more in-depth exam. Just not a great experience.

Hands down the WORST medical experience I have ever had. She referred to herself as “Dr” which is a slap in the face to people who actually hold this degree. Beyond condescending, completely unprofessional, and a disgrace to the BSWH network. Was told to schedule with a family practioned because there was nothing she could do to help. A total waste.

The best doctor ever! Competent and courteous. Dr. Wright even looked in my little girls ears for me just to make sure her ear infection was better, even though I was the one being seen! I had a bad case of flu, but I waited days to come in. It was really too late for flu testing and Tamiflu, so she saved me money too! I had to wait the flu out but she told me what to take so I would feel better! Gave me a handout about what would help to take to the store. I now love nurse practitioners!

Condescending and unhelpful bedside manner. Was sent home without a flu test, a generic list of antihistamines and decongestants, and no excused absence for school despite fever and 5 days of illness. Quick to dismiss my needs after I described difficulty taking antihistamines and resting, she began to unnecessarily explain the difference between stimulants and other antihistamines although this was not relevant to what I described. Patronizingly questioned what I would "like" her to do for me.

I had the flu. Dr. Wright shot straight with me, told me what to do. I didn’t take that real high price med that wouldn’t help. Really glad.

Great care. Dr. Wright took great care of me and my son. She was a nurse before becoming a doctor, so she talked to me like a regular person. I wish she could be my regular doctor. Now I'm going to ask for an NP to be my PCP!

Officious. Loved calling herself "Dr. Wright." I realize she has a doctorate in the nurse practitioner area, but most patients would assume she's an MD given her setting. So it is misleading in that context. I have a PhD in psychology, and I'm very, very careful about which contexts I refer to myself as "Dr." Also, it took me 3 hours and 45 minutes to get through the process, and she provided limited information and help after all that time.

I came into urgent care last minute. The young lady that checked me in was nice. The nurse called my name and she was kind and courteous. While the nurse helped me, Ms Wright walked in and began to examine me. Deedra Wright was the most pleasant physician that has helped me in some time. She gave me relief during my visit and prescribed me meds to help me feel better. Thank you Deedra Wright. Juan B.

She was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. She asked me why I was there and why I didn't go to my primary doctor (It was too late for an appointment). She continued to cut me off and not allow me to speak.

She was very short and rude. While telling her I had been experiencing a number so dizzy spells, she rudely asked from what?. If I knew, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't had spent my Saturday in the doctor's office. She then quickly told me she couldn't do anything for me (without even checking me out) and told me I needed to go to the ER.
