Derek is great. He asks helpful questions to understand my feelings and get to the root cause. He's completely non-judgemental and easy to share any feelings with, no matter how different and challenging I think they may be! He helped diffuse my intense anxiety and worries. Highly recommend.

Derek is an awesome therapist, hands down. When you first seek therapy, it's good to not settle on a practitioner until you find one where you both feel comfortable and have a good professional chemistry going. Derek is exactly that. He's calm and takes a great CBT approach to therapy. He listens and provides great feedback. One of my favorite things is the "homework" he provides between sessions. Whether it's practicing meditation, journaling strategies, or just refreshing articles to read; I love the in between stuff to work on so I can continue to grow. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Derek still made himself available with the same weekly sessions via teletherapy. I have nothing but great things to say about Derek. I highly recommend him.
