Amazing!!!

Emily was rude, insensitive, and the complete opposite of trauma-informed. I met for a consult and left in tears and very traumatized by her statements, lack of empathy, and blatant lack of knowledge of how to support someone with a trauma history. I would never want her near me during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. Horribly disappointed.

I would give her negative stars if I could. I had no choice but for her to deliver my baby because she was the only midwife on call. I really wish it would have been someone else so my health outcomes could have been better. I have sustained permanent and irreversible damage because of her decisions. She didn't explain my options to me or give me choices. She acted like she didn't know how to help me when I was having terrible labor pains. She did not listen to me when I told her I was progressing in labor; she ignored me and didn't believe me or check me. She said," yeah, that will happen later on in labor." and I wanted to scream "It's happening now." She did not explain to me what was happening during labor, why she was making the decisions she was, she did not look at my birth plan, and I think she has a terrible bedside manner. She lacked confidence, making me feel uneasy.

I switched to the midwives at 30 weeks and regret not doing it sooner. Emily was so caring and spent a lot of time answering my questions and providing me with information. She was very supporting of my decisions and I never felt pressured to do anything I didn't want to. It was really nice to be able to manage my pregnancy and labor the way I wanted. I can't say enough good things about Emily and the ladies of the mercy midwifery practice.
