Kellie Sperduto, PA-C

I was referred to Geode’s Lakeview location but couldn’t get in due to availability. I was scheduled w/ a new doctor at the west loop location. Because my previous doctor retired, I wanted to make sure I gave her a fair shot even thought I felt like she judge me without actually listening. It was clear she didn’t care for my previous doctor that retired. Change is difficult so I went to 1 in-person followed by 3 virtual appointments. Luckily, I received a message that she left Geode. Before seeing her, I referred a friend to Geode and he was matched with Dr. Kellie S in Lakeview and he had nothing but great things to say. After I talked to him about needing to find a new practice he encouraged meet Dr. Kellie Sperduto. I had my first apt with her yesterday and she’s absolutely amazing (she listens, doesn’t make me feel bad about myself, my issues and wasn’t pressuring me W/ additional medication). I’m not a doctor, clearly, but when a patient explains why they do not want to go back on a Rx after having taken it for 10+ years + explained how horrible it was getting off of it… why would you tell them they should go back on it? (Rhetorical.) I don’t need to be contacted, I explained how my previous experience left a bad taste in my mouth that I didn’t reschedule an apt for a/b 6 weeks - that’s how anxious the experience made me feel. Anyway, props to Dr Kellie Sperduto because if it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have given Geode another shot. She’s easy to talk to, I didn’t feel pre-judged and felt comfortable being honest. Sorry for the rant, but I’m so happy John Chapman was paired up w/ her otherwise I’d still be stressed, trying to find a doctor who listens & makes me feel as though I’m doing ok.
