I had an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience with Neil Goldstein as a social worker for my daughter. From the outset, there was a serious conflict of interest that he failed to disclose—he had worked with my ex-wife at the same school for years. This is something that should have been made clear either when he initially reached out to me or, at the very least, when I arrived at the appointment. Instead, I had to be the one to bring it up at the end of our session, making the situation feel dishonest and lacking in transparency.Beyond this ethical lapse, Neil repeatedly shared irrelevant and inappropriate details about his personal life. At one point, he mentioned his daughter having herpes—something that had absolutely no relevance to my situation or the purpose of our discussion. It was both unprofessional and uncomfortable.
