He was an American Foundation of Urological Disease Research Scholar at Duke University Medical Center. He was an early adopter of robotic surgery and helped establish the first robotic surgery program in Shreveport in 2003. Biography: Dr. Siskron is a native of Shreveport and a graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana and LSU-Shreveport School of Medicine. He completed an internship in General Surgery in Shreveport and was then called to complete his service in the United States Air Force as a General Medical Officer, stationed at Hill AFB in Salt Lake City, UT. He then returned to Shreveport to complete his residency in Urology at LSUHSC Shreveport, where he served as chief resident in 2006. Preferring the traditional, smaller practice setting to the larger group model that was becoming more common in all specialties at the time, Dr. Siskron founded Signature Urology at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in July of 2006, and has practiced in this location ever since.
