Biography: Dr. Kinkhabwala is a board-certified cardiologist, with a special interest in advanced cardiovascular imaging. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and is a nuclear cardiology faculty member at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003, she went on to complete medical school at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in 2007. She subsequently completed her internal medicine residency, cardiovascular fellowship and an advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where she also served as a chief medical resident. During her advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship, she gained expertise in SPECT, cardiac PET, viability testing, 99m technetium pyrophosphate scintigraphy, CT angiography, and calcium scoring. While at Columbia, Dr. Kinkhabwala has presented her research at both local and national conferences, and has co-authored several articles on cardiovascular disease that have appeared in publications including American Journal of Cardiology and Expert Reviews of Cardiovascular Therapy. Upon completing her training, Dr. Kinkhabwala joined Columbia as a clinical cardiologist with a particular interest in bringing the practical applications of state-of-the-art and highly specialized cardiovascular imaging techniques to the community. Dr. Kinkhabwala is board certified in cardiovascular disease, comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. She is an attending physician at both Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. She currently resides in New Jersey with her family. Biography: Torsten P. Vahl, MD, is the Director of Translational Research and is an attending physician at the Columbia Structural Heart and Valve Center and Columbia Interventional Cardiovascular Care at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Vahl is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Vahl is board-certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, and internal medicine. He specializes in the percutaneous treatment of coronary artery and structural heart disease and cardiac catheterization. His primary focus is on transcatheter aortic valve replacements, transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement, and left atrial appendage closure. Dr. Vahl is also very involved in many preclinical and first-in-human studies through his association with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. For example, Dr. Vahl led the ALIGN-AR trial as a national PI, a position that evolved out of his experience with the device from the preclinical studies. Dr. Vahl frequently proctors other interventional cardiologists on TAVR in aortic regurgitation with the Trilogy valve and on TMVR with the Cephea valve. Within the left atrial appendage closure, Dr. Vahl has been very active in developing our intracardiac echo program which allows patients to get this procedure without the need for general anesthesia and TEE. Dr. Vahl attended medical school at the Philipps-Universitt in Marburg, Germany. He did his internal medicine residency and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He also completed a fellowship in both interventional cardiology and structural interventional cardiology, focusing on valvular heart disease, at Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Rajiv Singh, MD FACC FSCAI is a board-certified interventional cardiologist providing preventive, non-invasive, and invasive cardiovascular evaluation and treatment. After a decorated tenure as a scholar-athlete at Rutgers Preparatory School, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Neuroscience and Philosophy of the Mind, where he was awarded a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship and named a National Goldwater Scholar. He attended medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons, where he organized the Columbia Medical Student 9/11 Response Team to obtain and deliver food and healthcare to first responders at Ground Zero in the first 72 hours. He has since been in practice in New York and New Jersey, where he established multiple new programs for trans-radial heart catheterization. He was the founder and Director of the Structural Heart Disease and Pulmonary Embolus Response Team programs at Westchester Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, before returning to Columbia University as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology.
