Biography: Dr. Aaron Nilhas is a general surgeon specializing in gallbladder, hernia and endocrine surgery, colon resections and upper/lower endoscopy procedures, as well as acute care surgery. He grew up on a farm in WaKeeney, Kansas, and received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Nilhas believes that patients are their own best advocates, and that open communication is essential to achieving the best overall outcomes. He also enjoys teaching medical students and helping to shape the future of healthcare in our community and across the state.

Biography: Dr. Matta received his medical degree with distinction from American University of Beirut. He completed an Internal Medicine residency at Duke University where he was elected to receive the prestigious Bruce Dixon Award. He then pursued a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), after which he went on to complete an additional fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy at NYU Langone under world renowned Prof. Gregory Haber. Dr. Matta offers a wide range of minimally invasive endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. He introduced complex advanced endoscopic procedures to Wichita, such as per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) for the treatment of achalasia, endoscopic cricopharyngeal myotomy for treatment of Zenker's diverticula, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and endoscopic full thickness resection (EFTR) for the management of neoplastic lesions involving different portions of the GI tract.

After that, he pursued a fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Saint Louis University. Dr. Khneizer is fluent in Arabic, English, and French. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching the NBA, and spending time with his family and friends.

My main goal when seeing a patient is to involve them in not only the diagnosis but also in the treatment whether or not that requires surgical intervention. Biography: Dr. Tofteland moved from Montana to Hillsboro, KS to attend Tabor College, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Biblical/Religious Studies. In addition to his degrees in the humanities, he completed prerequisite courses for premedical training. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2006 from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, spending the final two years of medical school on the campus of the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita. Dr. Tofteland subsequently completed dual-residency training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, graduating in 2010. Following residency graduation, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and served as the Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program.Dr. Tofteland completed fellowship training in gastroenterology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Kansas City campus in 2014. Following fellowship graduation, he returned to the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita, where he currently serves as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency Program and a staff Physician in gastroenterology.
