Biography: Dr. Lewis completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX,on a scholarship from the United States Air Force. Following General Surgerytraining at Wilford Hall Medical Center, he traveled to Connecticut for specialtytraining in Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Lewis then served as residency programdirector at Wilford Hall Medical Center and assistant program director for surgeryat UT Health Science Center San Antonio.After serving honorably for 18 years, Lieutenant Colonel Lewis returned to SanAntonio to enter private practice in 2012. His military experience taught him anappreciation for professionalism, leadership, and a collaborative approach toproblem-solving. These core values have served Dr. Lewis well throughout hisbusy surgical practice. While skilled in all aspects of Colorectal Surgery, hisprimary clinical interests are Colorectal Cancer and Inflammatory Bowel Disease,where a team approach to patient-centered care is paramount. He achieved andmaintains Board Certification from both the American Board of Surgery and theAmerican Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.When not taking care of patients, Dr. Lewis enjoys traveling, golfing, hiking, andspending time with his extended family. He and his wife, Jennifer, are the proudparents of four very accomplished children.

Biography: After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Ralph J. Bud Curtis received his medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he also completed a residency program in orthopaedic surgery and a post-graduate fellowship in shoulder surgery.Srince 1986, he has been a clinical faculty member at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has authored eight text book chapters in orthopaedics and sports medicine. Dr. Curtis is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, is a member of the American Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is subspecialty certified in sports medicine.He serves as a team physician for many San Antonio area high schools and the University of the Incarnate Word. He also serves shoulders consultant for the NBA San Antonio Spurs.Dr. Curtis serves on the board of directors for the Texas High School Coaches Foundation. He is a past president of the Texas Society of Sports Medicine and is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicines and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons.Dr. Curtis has been honored with Distinguished Service Awards by the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association and the Texas High School Coaches Association.
