Biography: Jorge C Magallon, MD, FACC, FSCAI is board certified in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease. He practices with Methodist Physicians RiverCity CardioVascular.Dr. Magallon is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego in La Jolla. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California at Los Angeles. He then trained at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, for both his internship and residency in internal medicine. Dr. Magallon then went on to complete his Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Fellowships at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Dr. Magallon is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Magallon's professional interests include the management of coronary and peripheral atherosclerosis. His outside interests include spending time with his family, cooking, traveling, soccer, and reading.

Biography: S Hinan Ahmed, MD, MBA, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM is a board certified Interventional Cardiologist with Methodist Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio. He is also the Medical Director, Methodist Heart and Lung Institute | Vascular Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, with subspecialty board certifications in Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular Medicine.After completing medical school and an internship at Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, Dr. Ahmed began his vast clinical studies in the United States. He completed an internship at Saint Louis University and was a cerebrovascular research fellow at Washington University, both in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Ahmed then headed to Charleston, South Carolina to complete Internal Medicine and Heart Failure Fellowships at Medical University of South Carolina. A Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship took him to University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and then an Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology brought him to University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.Prior to joining the Methodist family, Dr. Ahmed held a variety of leadership positions at UT Health San Antonio, including being the Director of Structural Heart Diseases, Chest Pain Center and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Christopherson went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at Rush University, Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois and his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from The Care Group at Indiana Heart Institute in Indianapolis. He has enjoyed being in private practice for over 10 years. Dr. Christopherson's professional interests include the management of atherosclerosis in coronary and peripheral circulation. Biography: Dr. Frierson is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Texas majoring in Biochemistry. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Texas Health Science in San Antonio. Dr. Frierson went on to complete his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Additionally Dr. Frierson completed a Fellowship in Cardiology Research at the University of New Mexico, School of Medicine, in Albuquerque, New Mexico prior to completing his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the Cleveland Foundation, in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr.Frierson is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Frierson's professional interests include the efficient management of his patient's cardiovascular issues and wellness. His outside interests include sailing, reading, and family. He resides in San Antonio, Texas.
