Biography: Dr. Gavin Henry was named a Top Doc? in Thoracic Surgery by Baltimore magazine as recently as 2020. Gavin Henry, MD, FACS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and an attending thoracic surgeon and Director of Clinical Operations for the Division of Thoracic Surgery. He specializes in treating conditions of the esophagus, lung and mediastinum. Dr. Henry offers minimally invasive robotic surgery for most thoracic procedures. In addition to being part of the faculty at the University of Maryland, Dr. Henry is the Chief of the Section of Thoracic Surgery at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore. He is credentialed to perform surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Center, the University of Maryland St. Joseph's Medical Center, University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, St. Agnes Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore. Dr. Henry earned his Medical Degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, where he also had his internship and residency with the Division of General Surgery.
