Biography: Mathew Nicholls, MD, PhD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in conditions of the hip, knee and shoulder as well as fractures. _x000D_ Dr. Nicholls enjoys the opportunity to make someone's life better and help them achieve their mobility goals though both surgical and non-surgical interventions. His goals are to increase motion and function, and eliminate pain. He is often inspired by his patients' drive to heal and to return to their active lifestyles. _x000D_ Dr. Nicholls is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. _x000D_ Away from work, Dr. Nicholls enjoys mountaineering/climbing, skiing, scuba diving and traveling.

Early in my career I gained invaluable expertise by completing two separate intensive specialty training programs in complex shoulder surgery and sports medicine surgery. These fellowships, along with my ongoing focus upon staying current with the latest orthopaedic surgical techniques, allow me to achieve the best possible outcomes for my patients.
