Biography: Paul D. Kim, M.D. graduated with honors as a College Scholar from Cornell University. After college, he was a Ph.D. candidate at Harvard University before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. He then completed medical school at Columbia University's College of Physicians & Surgeons and then his orthopedic surgery residency training at The New York Orthopedic Hospital at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center where he served as a chief resident. Subsequently, he completed his spine fellowship at The Spine Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Saint John's Health Center in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Paul Kim has a strong interest in research and has authored multiple book chapters and peer-reviewed scientific articles. He has presented many presentations in addition to being awarded research grants from the N.I.H. and the National Science Foundation. Treating complex disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, Dr. Kim has an interest in minimally-invasive spine surgery, motion-sparing technology/artificial disc replacement, and use of computer-assisted navigation in appropriate patients. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), North American Spine Society (NASS) and Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS). He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).

Biography: Dr. Oh joined the Neurology Center in 2009. She grew up and trained in Texas. She received her undergraduate degree at Rice University and medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. She completed her residency in Neurology and fellowship in Movement Disorders at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Oh has a special interest in Parkinson's disease and essential tremor. She is experienced in the management of deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and dystonia. She also is experienced in using botulinum toxin injections for dystonia and spasticity and in managing intrathecal baclofen pumps for spasticity. Dr. Oh has privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas and Tri-City Medical Center at Oceanside. She works at our Carlsbad and Escondido offices. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and Movement Disorders Society.
