Dr. Sharif completed his orthopedic surgical residency at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he was elected Chief Resident consistently scoring among the highest in-training exam scores in the nation. Following residency he completed a combined fellowship in Orthopedic / Neurosurgical adult and pediatric spine surgery at the prestigious Norton Leatherman Spine Center under the direction of Drs. John Dimar, Rolando Puno and Steven Glassman, past-president of the Scoliosis Research Society.
