Care Philosophy: In developing treatment plans, I believe in treating each patient individually and as family. In circumstances where surgery is involved, I recommend the least invasive techniques to accomplish patient specific treatment goals. I am a firm believer that treating spine conditions takes a team and I collaborate with both my nonoperative and operative colleagues in patient care.

Care Philosophy: Recognized for his empathy and compassion, Dr. Steinhaus treats every patient as he would his own family and tries to avoid surgery whenever possible to get patients back to doing what they love, whether that's elite performance in athletics or playing with grandkids. When surgery is required, Dr. Steinhaus uses his specialized training in minimally invasive techniques including tubular, endoscopic, and robot-assisted surgery to provide cutting edge care, giving patients the best outcome while minimizing pain. He focuses on motion-sparing techniques and avoids fusion when possible. He believes that his role is to educate but ultimately that patients should be making the decisions about their care.
