She did her neurosurgery residency at the Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center, both in New Jersey; and a mini-fellowship in endoscopic endonasal surgery at Cornell University in New York. Dr. Rathmann also completed fellowship training in pediatric neurosurgery at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, OH. She was part of a research team concerning traumatic brain injury at the Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Research Center at the University of Kentucky, and her upcoming publications include chapters on Hydrocephalus and Slit Ventricle Syndrome in the Handbook of Pediatric Neurosurgery and an article on pediatric endonasal endoscopic neurosurgery.
