Biography: My mother is a retired nurse, so I was drawn to medicine at an early age. Math and science were always my favorite subjects, and studying medicine allowed me to incorporate them into my required learning. \n I chose primary care as a specialty because I like the personal relationships and long-term connections that I'm able to build with my patients. My approach to medicine is focused on prevention, with an emphasis on healthy lifestyles. I follow a healthy diet and am an avid exerciser and enjoy teaching my patients about what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. \n Listening to and meeting patients where they are is extremely important. Patients tell me they appreciate that I listen to their concerns and help develop treatment plans based on their goals and what they can reasonably accomplish. I am also detail oriented and tech-savvy. \n I completed undergrad, med school and residency in my native Michigan. After my residency, my husband and I moved to Florida for two years where I practiced first as a hospitalist then as a primary care provider. We moved to Charlotte in 2024 and are expecting our first child. \n My hobbies include cooking; exercising; playing volleyball, basketball and soccer; reading (mostly mysteries and thrillers), playing board games; watching the Green Bay Packers; and playing with my three cats. I am passionate about living healthfully, which includes cooking healthy food and keeping very active.
