Care Philosophy: John Hatheway, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pain management specialist who cares for patients age 18 and older. Dr. Hatheway offers a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of patients with chronic pain, with an emphasis on formulating an individualized plan of care based on the patient's history, physical exam and imaging studies. He utilizes many minimally invasive interventional pain procedures to treat chronic pain. Dr. Hatheway is a member of the North American Neuromodulation Society, and American Society of Pain and Neuroscience. He has been engaged in clinical research and has authored many scientific articles on pain medicine. Away from work, Dr. Hatheway enjoys flyfishing, boating, hunting and traveling.

Care Philosophy: With 30 years of family practice experience I see myself as my patient's advisor in managing and choosing wisely in their health care decisions. Each individual is unique and needs to have their own input in medical decisions. I tend to encourage diet, exercise and natural approaches and try to minimize use of medication when possible. I discourage narcotics or tranquilizers on a chronic basis as my experience is patients just develop tolerance and now have two problems instead of one.
