Biography: Dr. Eric Hein is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia followed by a traditional internship at Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, South Carolina. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and further specialized with a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Hein has been involved in clinical trials with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group. The network, which was formed in 1997, is funded by the National Eye Institute (NEI).
