Biography: I am a strong proponent of collaborating with the patient to create a tailored holistic and evidence-based management plan that incorporates the anatomic, mental, cultural, and social variations of each patient. I have considerable training in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and specialize in major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I grew up in Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). After completing medical school at the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), I went on to complete my psychiatry residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL, where I became versed in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and group therapy, as well as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). At Pacific Coast Psychiatric Associates, I plan to continue promoting the importance of mental health, in addition to combating the stigma that surrounds mental illness. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures, listening to music, playing sports, watching anime, reading manga, and playing MTG and board games.
