Biography: Dr. Joseph Martinez is a board-certified Neurosurgery specialist in Conroe, Texas. He completed a double major in Chemistry and Economics at the University of New Mexico before attending Medical School at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, both in Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Martinez completed his neurosurgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. In 2002, Dr. Le completed his degree in Osteopathic Medicine at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth, Texas. He did his medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Texas at Medical Branch (UTMB), Galveston, TX, from 2003-2007. In 2007, Dr. Le joined the Kingwood Neurology and Sleep practice group. Dr. Winkler and his wife Taylor live in The Woodlands where they grew up. He has two young daughters, Olivia and Ava. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, being outdoors, and watching college and professional football. He and his family attend St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He received his orthopaedic training at Scott & White Hospital and continued with advanced fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery at The University of Chicago. During his training, he worked directly under Dr. Daniel Mass, one of the world's leading experts in tendon injury and upper extremity surgery. He returned to the Tomball/Woodlands area after being an associate professor of upper extremity surgery at Scott & White Hospital. There he instructed residents and young surgeons on the latest techniques and trauma care for upper extremity injuries. Throughout his career, he has learned, performed and researched the most advanced, cutting-edge techniques in hand and upper extremity care providing care for several Major League Baseball teams and serving as one of the team physicians for the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks.
