Biography: Dr. Michelle Santoyo is a full time, board certified attending physician practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology. As of February 2019, she has joined Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates and is eager to serve the Mount Sinai community. Dr. Santoyo attended medical school at Albert Einstein School of Medicine, graduating in 2007. She completed her residency at North Shore University Hospital in 2011. After twelve years of clinical experience, Dr. Santoyo has developed superior surgical skills and obstetrical expertise, delivering professional and compassionate care to her patients. Dr. Santoyo understands a comprehensive approach to women's health. She enjoys incorporating lifestyle changes and encourages non-invasive approaches to treatment. Dr. Santoyo has a particular interest in obstetrics, family planning, and performing gynecologic operative hysteroscopies. She also enjoys working with adolescent and pediatric populations, emphasizing various preventative health care strategies in a comfortable and secure setting, while guiding young women to be advocates for their own health. Once an attending at North Shore Hospital, she also served as a faculty mentor for minority students and as a clinical preceptor for many nurse practitioners. Dr. Feder received her bachelor's degree in history from Washington University in St. Louis in 1992. During her undergraduate career, she spent a year at King's College of the University of London studying history and English. She obtained her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1996. While in medical school, she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Feder received residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, then a teaching hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, graduating in 2000. As a resident, she was recognized for teaching excellence by Columbia's medical students. Also during residency, she was a Galloway Fellow at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center. In 2002, she was appointed Assistant Clinical Professorof Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, a position she held until 2013. Dr. Feder is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
