Biography: Shyla Kodi, MD, is a neurologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley and an attending physician in the department of neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. She is board certified in neurology, epilepsy, sleep medicine, and clinical neurophysiology by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to treating general neurological conditions, Dr. Kodi is a board-certified specialist in handling patients with various types of seizure disorders/intractable epilepsy and an array of sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, parasomnias, and insomnias. Dr Kodi is skilled at the treatment of intractable migraine headaches with Botox therapy and trigger point injections, which is also used in the treatment of muscle pain and muscle spasms.Dr. Kodi is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and American Epilepsy Society.
