He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and his Clinical Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital. He previously served as Assistant Team Physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Dr. McHale is the recipient of the Jefferson Medical College Edward P. Beach Scholarship for academic merit, institutional commitment and community service. He is also the recipient of the Jefferson Medical College Lavine Scholarship awarded to select medical students performing clinical research. Dr. McHale grew up in Cape May County and attended Ocean City High School.
