Care Philosophy: I will always abide by the standard of care and practice evidence-based medicine/surgery. I will personalize your care plan to your particular problem or injury by integrating your underlying medical conditions, functional status and support system into decision making. I enjoy the challenge of dealing with complex, critically ill patients. I value the personal relationships I develop with my patients and their families in the hospital and clinic. I vow to deliver excellent, comprehensive preoperative, operative and post-operative care. I will work hard, be upfront and honest, and always provide you and your family with realistic expectations and outcomes. In return, I expect the same from you, the patient, in the recovery process.

Care Philosophy: As a second generation surgeon, I was fortunate to have been exposed to the wisdom and experience of my father, mentor and friend, Dr D.W. Timms, who exhibited the best in the art and science of medicine and surgery. I believe in the importance of patient care as my first priority, with dedication to the patient and the particular problem that they bring to my attention. I will always place the care of my patients above all other concerns.
