I brought that expertise to my previous service on the executive board for The Pines at Davidson, a retirement community in the area. \n I held several leadership roles at my previous medical group, including serving as co-medical director for the COVID Virtual Hospital in 2020 at the first such facility in the nation to respond to the pandemic. In addition, I've been honored with multiple "Top Doctor" awards from Charlotte Magazine and Business North Carolina. \n I've been married to - and supported by - my wife of over 30 years, who's a full-time mental health counselor and owner of Triple Play Farm, where she guides patients through equine-facilitated psychotherapy. We have three sons: Jake, who served in the Peace Corps and AmeriCorps; Ben, who leads cybersecurity for a Charlotte startup; and Sam, who will work in military intelligence for the U.S. Army upon college graduation.
