During his pediatric residency at this institution he was awarded a scholarship to do additional training in general pediatrics at the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He received his ECFMG certification in 1997. After a fellowship in adolescent medicine at the University of Genova, he received additional training in pediatric neurology at Cincinnati Children'??s Hospital Medical Center and in developmental neurology in Pisa, Italy. In 2002-2003, he completed a fellowship in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Boston Children'??s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
