Biography: Dr. Shepherd started her career as a teacher, with positions in San Antonio, India, and Alaska. She decided to combine her love of teaching, interest in women's health, and passion for helping others into a career in medicine. She completed medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center and finished her residency at Brown University in Rhode Island. She is passionate about women's health and prenatal care. She feels it is a privilege to participate in welcoming new babies into their family and caring for women throughout their life time. She takes pride in explaining diagnoses and plans to patients, providing personalized care and forming a meaningful relationship with her patients.
