I came to Cornell University Medical College In 1980 to start my Cardiology Fellowship training. There are many reasons I feel fortunate to have been able to continue at Weill Cornell Medical College. It has given me the opportunity to interact with an exceptional group of physicians, nurse practioners, and nurses in both cardiology and cardic surgery in a hospital which is equally well staffed in all other specialties. It has allowed me to do research in the area of regurgitant heart valve disease and to teach at many levels. Most of all it has made it possible for me to be part of a team capable of the highest level of care for any patient with cardiac disease. My highest recommendation is that , at my suggestion, many of my family and friends have come here for advanced care and I could not be more pleased with the results.

Dr. Crawford received his undergraduate degree in 1996 from Georgetown University. He received his MD in 2001 from Yale University School of Medicine and completed a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship in Genetics and Molecular Biology in 1999. He subsequently completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine in 2004 at the New York Presbyterian Hospital Â? Weill Cornell Campus. He spent the following year studying the effects of dietary components in cancer prevention under support from the NIH. He has completed his fellowship in GI in 2008 at Weill Cornell Campus.

Dr. Sandip Kapur is Chief of Transplant Surgery and Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Programs at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. An internationally recognized expert in pioneering transplant techniques, Dr. Kapur specializes in adult and pediatric kidney transplantation and whole organ pancreas and islet cell transplantation. Dr. Kapur was named as one of "America's Top Doctors" by both US News World Report and Castle Connolly in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Ravi Sharaf, MD, MS is a gastroenterologist and health services researcher with a clinical focus on the care of patients with hereditary cancer syndromes.He is the Director of Genetics and Personalized Cancer Prevention Program at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Associate Professor of Medicine, with appointments in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Medicine, as well in the Divison of Epidemiology in the Department of Population Health Sciences. His research focuses on optimizing the delivery of genomic medicine, studying the comparative and cost effectiveness of alternate cancer prevention strategies, and tailoring cancer prevention to individual risk. His research is funded by the National Cancer Institute and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.He completed his internal medicine training at Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital. At Stanford University Hospital and Clinics, Dr. Sharaf completed his fellowships in gastroenterology and clinical cancer genetics, and obtained a Masters of Science degree in Epidemiology.

Anton George Kelly, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the division of Trauma, Burns, Critical and Acute Care at Weill Cornell Medical College and Assistant Attending Surgeon at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Kelly specializes in Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery and Trauma with a focus on Traumatology and Burn management.Prior to his arrival, Dr. Kelly completed his residency in general surgery at Easton Hospital in Easton Pennsylvania followed by a dual fellowship in burn surgery and surgical critical care at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Westchester Medical Center respectively.Dr. Kelly is an active member of many prestigious medical and surgical societies, including the American College of Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Burn Association.
