John Edeen III, MD joined Pediatric Orthopedic Associates of San Antonio in 1997. He earned his Bachelor's degree from Columbia College in New York, New York. While there, he earned three varsity letters in rowing. He graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1985. While there, he participated on the rugby team. Dr. Edeen's surgery internship was at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. Following his internship, he served as the medical officer aboard the USS Peleliu (LHA-5), an amphibious assault ship. He completed a six-month deployment to the Western Pacific. Dr. Edeen did his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Oakland, California from 1988 to 1992. He then served as a general orthopedic surgeon at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He served as the Orthopedic Department Head and deployed to Somalia with a surgical team sent to the USS Peleliu in support of Operation Restore Hope.After discharge from the U.S. Navy, he did his Pediatric Orthopedic Fellowship at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, Massachusetts from 1994 to 1996.Dr. Edeen is Board Certified and specializes in knee surgery and sports injuries as well as general pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Edeen is a member of AAOS, POSNA, Texas Orthopedic Association, San Antonio Orthopedic Society, and Bexar County Medical Society, where he serves on the Emergency Preparedness Committee.Dr. Edeen is married and enjoys mountain biking, hunting, and shooting sports.

I also recognize that injuries and delays in treatment can affect opportunities, including scholarships. I know it is important to support both a young athlete's immediate goal to return to their sport, but also the long-term goal of sustained fitness, health, and athletic performance. My focus is not only on treating injuries and getting young athletes back onto the field or court, but also preventing future problems.

Tina Creekmore, MD completed her fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery in 2010 at Texas Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston. She received her medical degree at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, and then completed her orthopedic residency at Louisiana State University - Shreveport. She earned her bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she was a collegiate gymnast and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr Creekmore is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. She is especially interested in clubfoot, cerebral palsy and pediatric bone deformities. In her spare time she enjoys skiing and biking. She is married to a professor and has one young son. Dr. Creekmore is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America.

Dr. Richard T. Steffen received his medical training from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami and performed his residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center at LAckland Air Force Base. He is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and has completed his fellowship in sports medicine. He specializes in surgical treatment of shoulder, hip, and knee injuries.

He received his undergraduate degree at University of Wisconsin and received his Doctor of Medicine degree at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He completed residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati. He is Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.His interest in orthopedic surgery began during medical school when he rotated through different areas of medicine. During an emergency medicine rotation he was able to observe orthopedic surgeons take care of trauma patients with serious injuries. It was then that he decided to pursue a career in orthopedics.Dr. Simon enjoys the ability to take patients with injuries or chronic pain and make their lives better. A patient with painful arthritis in the knee can often return to a normal, pain-free life after knee replacement surgery. Those are the type of things that makes him like orthopedics. Dr. Simon says "Seeing happy patients come back over the years is very satisfying as an orthopedic surgeon.
