Dr. Kurian grew up in San Antonio, Texas. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine with honors, and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. At Vanderbilt, Dr. Kurian was elected as chief resident and was voted one of 2004 Berlex Laboratories Best Second-year Teaching Residents. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, completed in December 2008. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society.Dr. Kurian has a special interest in routine and high-risk obstetrics, annual gynecologic exams, abnormal Pap smear evaluations, contraception, and gynecologic surgery. Dr. Tovo's residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas was marked by awards in achievement including the Outstanding Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the Southern Gynecologic Assembly and the Joseph Warren Award for Resident Excellence.Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Tovo is dedicated to providing comprehensive women's health care including contraceptive management, high-risk pregnancy, minimally invasive pelvic surgery, and menopause.
