Biography: Dr. Waheed V. Mohamed joins our practice from the great Lone Star State. He completed a fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Abilene, Texas and also trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery in New Orleans, La. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, earned his doctorate of dental surgery degree at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, and completed an internship in maxillofacial trauma in New Orleans. His work in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina earned him a national community service award. Dr. Mohamed stayed in New Orleans to complete medical school, a general surgery internship, and his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Louisiana State University. His training there involved trauma, pathology, and cosmetic surgery of the face. After spending 10 years understanding the human face, he joined Dr. Howard Tobin for a fellowship in cosmetic surgery. Today Dr. Mohamed continues to focus his extensive education and experience on cosmetic surgery at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery. His focus includes otoplasty, rhinoplasty and liposculture.

Biography: Dr. Matthew Comiskey is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended West Viriginia University for his undergraduate and doctorate studies. He subsequently served three years in the Navy as a dental officer and proudly served on the USS Oak Hill during Operation Enduring Freedom. After his military service, Dr. Comiskey returned to WVU and completed five additional years of surgical training in an Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency program at Ruby Memorial Hospital. Dr. Comiskey is trained in all aspects of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery including: dental extractions and removal of wisdom teeth, management of dental infections, dental rehabilitation utilizing bone grafting and placement of dental implants, surgical and non-surgical management of oral pathology, surgical treatment of facial trauma, and outpatient IV sedation and general anesthesia. He maintains hospital privileges at Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center- Northeast.
