She desrves most of the credit for my recovery!
When I moved to the Dallas area in January 2020, I needed a new neurologist, and my primary care doctor referred me to Dr. Frederic Nguyen to treat my Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Nguyen suggested I see a neurologist specializing in movement disorders and recommended Dr. Menteddi. My first impression of Dr. Menteddi was that I had found a knowledgeable, compassionate physician, and after seeing her for over two years, she has exceeded my first impressions. She always gives me a thorough examination, and I never feel rushed. When I began seeing her, I was using a walker, and with her help, I was able to transition to a cane. After multiple visits, we began discussing a procedure for Parkinson’s patients called DBS. She explained everything in great detail and all of the available options. I am excited to say that I had the DBS surgeries in April 2021, and with Dr. Menteddi’s guidance, she was able to start tapering off of my medications, plus I no longer need anything to help me walk!

My son went for medical evaluation. Was told there would be extensive testing including thyroid testing. Instead only an EEG, MRI and HIV tests were done. (he tested negative by the way) No other blood work, no other diagnostics. No follow up appointment. No contact from the doctor whatsoever. Tried to inform the practice, no call back from them either. I wish I could give her zero stars. So disappointed. Had higher expectations from the doctor and the practice.

DO NOT go to Dr Mentreddi if you are experiencing nerve issues/painand and your hoping for her to diagnose your issue. After my first appointment, I surprised when an assistant came in and told me the doctor wanted to see me again in 3 months. I expressed my concern, stating I can to her for help with a diagnosis, why are we waiting 3 months? Then, three months later, I was called to confirm my send appointment, and was told it was going to be with a nurse practitioner, NOT the doctor. Ridiculous. I cancelled my appointment and will never return. Why enter the medical community, if you don’t want to help people?

Dr. Mentreddi is great so I hate to give one star; however, her support staff is terrible. They claimed that they called to cancel an appointment that had been in the schedule for months, but I never received a call from them. I have been waiting for over a month for them to call to communicate lab results (in order for a new treatment to be started) and left multiple messages, but still have not been called back by the office. So unless you enjoy having appointments cancelled without your knowledge and spending hours trying to get in touch with the office for simple results, I would find another practice.

Although I was pleased with the treatment and care I received directly from Dr. Mentreddi, the interaction with the assistant assigned to me and the front desk has been very poor. I have an important question and it has gone unanswered. I explained that I cannot use the patient portal to submit my question because it requires downloading the app and my phone does not support it (it does not allow to access via web browser). I have not been able to speak to a live person who can assist.

It has been a nightmare scheduling and dealing with other neurologists. I discussed my frustration with another doctor and he referred me to Aashoo. She has been amazing. She got me in very quickly, sat and discussed all of my husband and my concerns and made a clear path forward for my evaluation and treatment. I strongly recommend Mr. Mentreddi. She's exactly the kind of doctor you want when you aren't sure what is going on with you.
