I'm in the medical field and I feel my experience should be heard. I could not find a public email to reach out to this provider. I mostly had an ok experience up until the later end of my care. I experienced severe dependent edema, headaches, dizziness and intermittent blurred vision. I asked if I could go off work early d/t these symptoms. I was declined and told she could give me two small additional 15min breaks and she stated, "unfortunately pregnancy isn't a disability". I worked up until 5 days prior to my delivery. Also, I work 12hr shifts on my ft all day. Fast forward just towards the end of my preg my nausea was terrible and I needed a new RX bc my vision was going blurry at times. I was dx with intracranial hypertension. My s/s were not taken seriously and were neglected to be evaluated in more detail. The reported symptoms should have been enough to consider early work release. This condition can lead to blindness, while rare is highly prevalent in child bearing age women.

It's actually been a few years since I saw Dr McCollaugh but I've never forgotten how abrupt she was with me. My diagnosis was relayed to me very flippantly without any explanation and she appeared to busy to take time to explain. I've run into many problems since then that she may have been able to help me avert if she had the desire to. That is my experience so thought I'd share.

My husband had a question. Her answer was vague and she didn’t make any eye contact while she was talking. She always seem rushed and want to end the appointment as soon as possible.

Dr. McCollaugh is great. She remembers her patients, is invested in them, and does her best to meet their needs and wishes (including birth plans). She happened to be on-call when I went into labor with my oldest, and got to deliver her, and she brought me through most of my second pregnancy before I moved to the other side of the state. If I moved back to the area, I would definitely choose her as my doctor, and recommend her without hesitation.
