Great surgeon
Dr. Alexander and his staff are very courteous and efficient. Dr. Alexander treated me for a broken wrist, and performed 2 different surgeries on me to deliver a good result (minimal scarring, tolerable pain, and realistic prognosis). He is an excellent listener with a phenomenal bedside manner. He is knowledgeable and presents the facts without bias. He took into account my lifestyle and age with his recommendations. He answered electronic queries the same day. The Orthopedic and Spine Center at Mercy Medical is where my surgery was performed, and the staff was knowledgeable, empathetic, and kind. I had excellent care for both of my surgeries at Mercy Medical Center.I highly recommend Dr. Alexander.

Carpal Tunnel Surgery
Dr. Alexander performed carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands (right in 2022) (left in 2024). Both surgeries were successful, and I would recommend Dr. Alexander to anyone with such issues. He is professional, thorough, and answered all of my questions.

Dr Alexander is the best! He explained everything so well at all the pre-op appointments. Surgery went well! Very little discomfort! Two weeks later I feel great and zero of the problems before surgery!

Professional, awesome, great bed side manner,
Dr. Alexander is a wonderful doctor. He is a professional, congenial, doctor with a fabulous staff who provided exceptional service during my entire experience. I was in a high degree of pain dealing with carpel tunnel. Dr. Alexander and his staff worked to expedite my diagnosis and get me in as quickly as possible for surgery. He clearly established expectations and exceeded them at every turn. I hadn’t slept a full night’s sleep for months leading up to surgery and slept like a baby only needing aspirin the night after surgery. He is a warm, caring doctor who makes you feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way. Dr. Alexander is a throwback to a former time when medicine felt personalized to the individual something seemingly increasingly rare these days. He will always be a top doc in my book!

What Relief!!
Dr. Alexander performed carpal tunnel release surgery in both of my hands and the relief was immediate! He did them both at the same time at my request and I have no regrets. Very little pain and back to normal in about a week.

Wish I never had the surgery!
Dr. Alexander performed my tendon repair this past April and by far this has been one of the worst experiences I've had. My initial consult w/ him was very pleasant. He left me with the impression that having the surgery was in my best interest and that post-surgery my finger would be as close to normal as possible. I left his office trusting that I was in good hands so I decided to go with it. Here's where it gets crazy, he told me that I would only be out of work for 6 wks which was a lie. It wasn't until I started PT 3 days after that my PT informed me that I would be out for 12 wks. When I saw him for follow up 1 wk later and asked him about it, he talked in circles. After 6 wks, my finger still didn't bend which he than informs me that a 2nd surgery may be needed because apparently the tendon is now stuck in scar tissue. I was never informed that this was even a possibility upon consult. As a professional he should have been transparent about my prognosis esp. since I did ask ?'s!

Pleasantly pleased
I developed severe bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), with the right hand particularly bad. Dr. Alexander saw me right away and performed the surgery within a matter of weeks afterwards. I actually returned to work the next day after having the right hand completed (I am a workers' compensation adjuster and type constantly) and surgery for the left hand occurred just 3 weeks later. The left hand was slower to recovery but I am now a little more than 5 weeks out and doing very well, and only missed 3 days of work for the left hand. The extreme numbness and pain I had in both hands has improved substantially.

Highly recommend
I have seen Dr Alexander multiple times for various symptoms and most recently underwent surgery for Carpal and Cubital Tunnel Release. I am very satisfied with the outcome of the surgery. I have always been impressed with the level of service provided by the entire staff as well as Dr Alexander. Highly recommend if you want a Surgeon who truly listens to the patient and has a great deal of empathy for what you are going through.

I had a severe carpal tunnel issue with my right hand. The pain that I was experiencing was intense and would wake me up in the middle of the night. He explained in depth the procedure. Informed me about all of the risks. I have never been operated before in my life. He told me that the pain would immediately cease after the surgery, IT DID! The staff at both his office and the surgical center were wonderful! I highly recommend Dr. Alexander

Phenomenal job
Dr. Clayton Alexander and his team are phenomenal. Dr. Alexander walked me through each step of the process for the treatment of my injury. After my surgery, my wife received a follow up call from Dr. Alexander’s team as soon as we arrived home to check on us. This made things even more personable. Thanks again Dr. Alexander and team for your outstanding work and care.
