This doctor is very negative and insecure.
Very negative—unwilling to be objective or optimistic about any recovery. When asked about the possibility of a successful recovery (even partial recovery), he actually said “There is no way to recover from a TBI that happened so long ago.”For a long time, I have been recovering (& continue to recover) with the multitude of things needed to live a healthy and thriving life. When asked if he has treated TBIs, he laughed and said he was going to go get someone to be a witness to our appointment (because he felt threatened?!?). When the witness entered the room, he said “Just to reiterate…”, and I responded by saying “If you would have used these same words & said them them to me in this same way, there would be no need for this witness.”

Very knowledgeable and thorough
After he did his exam he took the time to explain things and then let me ask plenty of questions. My daughter is special needs so that is very important to me.

Horrible experience!
Horrible to my daughter. She’s 29, called ahead about being allowed to bring her service dog and she was told yes. He told her after she arrived she couldn’t have the dog there. Also Told her he didn’t believe she had head trauma. This was after seeing her for less than 5 minutes. Other physicians should not be referring this Dr.

THE VERY BEST!!!
Very impressed, 100% satisfied with the care Dr. Lai gave! Took my mother for an initial visit today, his Nurse Bridget brought us back, explained everything, took her time, super sweet and caring personality, really liked her! Dr. Lai spent a full hour with us, my mother has a lot of medical issues and her health is declining quickly. He fully examined her, went over our next steps, ordered labs, MRI's, he really wasted no time. I was so impressed and happy that I felt emotional when we left, never have we received such well rounded care. Highly recommend Dr. Lai and his Nurse, they are both wonderful, knowledgable, clean, organized and caring people! We fell into the best office in the best hands, so thankful!!

Rude
We saw Dr.Lai in the hospital when my daughter was admitted for IIH, which she was later determined to have. He was rude, talked down to us, yelled at good nurses, yelled at us and dismissed our concerns without testing! If you encounter this man, do not trust him, he is not a good doctor! Not a doctor at all!

Wish I could give zero stars! My visit was horrible; he came in and told me he didn't believe I had MS (I was diagnosed and have been treated for 11 years now). He had be crying uncontrollably. I felt like he was attacking me and calling me a liar and my diagnosing doctor a liar. He takes new patients, I don't know why; my appointment was July 2 and I can't get a follow up until November!!! He obviously needs no new patients; I do not feel safe with him. I DO NOT recommend him!

He has the Worst bedside manner I've ever seen, he is very insensitive, and does not care about his patients. He is very demeaning and condescending when speaking to you. He actually made my Mother cry and when I questioned him about what he said to and about to her. His remark was oh well that’s how it is. We will never be returning to him. I recommend everyone to stay far away if you don’t want to be treated like you are insignificant. He needs to be working in a Morgue where no one can hear his remarks or see his facial expressions. What a terrible way of interacting with his Patients!! Karma Buddy, Karma

I went to see dr Lai today after being rescheduled and his nurse said she would check into that. Well when dr lai came in the room he proceeded to call my husband and myself a liar and made sure to make my husband state that he was wrong with a cocky smile and his head cocked to the side. He’s got horrible bedside manner, is insensitive, and does not care about his patients he only cares about the paycheck. If I could give 0 stars I would as I will never be returning to him. And I recommend others stay far away if you don’t want to be treated like dirt.

Horrible dr – Mar 11, 2020
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Lai?
Dr. Lai misdiagnosed my 85 year old father with Lewy Body dementia without reviewing my dad's medical history/tests from his previous long term neurologist. My dad does not have LBD. This doctor apparently can diagnose a patient without reviewing records or running tests .

Dr. Lai has a cold demeanor and should not see patients. I accompanied my mother to the consultation and follow up. He didn't take time to listen to the problem before starting his exam. An MRI was ordered, PT, and a prescription for one of only 3 medicines he's willing to prescribe. We were grateful his staff called to say the cause of pain appeared to be coming from her back. At follow up, the MRI wasn't discussed, a print out was not provided, and the reason for the pain wasn't explained.
