Dr. David Yu, MD

I’ve seen Dr Yu several times over the last few years. He is always thorough and answers all of my questions.

Was a patient with dr Yu for over 10 years. had at least two visits a year including all heart related tests. Lost confidence in him and sought out new doctor. Dr Patel had many tests to check my heart. Found I needed an aorta heart valve and a pacemaker immediately or I was going to die. N ever had a clue that I had heart issues with dr Yu, but one month after leaving him I was told I was in serious trouble. In my opinion Dr yu is interested in money and not health care.

Dr. Yu visited me in the FHH ICU and requested and read the tests that showed my mitral valve had ruptured. He sent me by helicopter to Washington Hospital Center where I had emergency open heart surgery. I would not be alive if he had not taken those steps. Thank you.

I was given an old urine test result. When I asked if he would take care of me if something happened with me heart wise, he did not respond.

I have been a patient of Dr. Yu for years. I initially went to see him due to blood pressure problems prior to a surgery. He regulated my blood pressure so the procedure could be performed, and since has also made sure about any possible drug interactions with other meds I have to take. He's always been very thorough and attentive to my needs regarding my health, and cares about my well being.

I met with Dr. Yu; he reviewed my history, talked with me, and gave me a paper for a stress test and echo. I had no problem scheduling the tests, but I developed a large knot and severe bruising on my arm from the IV. There is NO privacy in the room where the stress test, imaging, and IV insertion is done. I liked Dr. Yu, but didn't care for the treatment I received when I called the ofc. about my arm.

I chose Dr. Yu for his good reputation. In my case,a pre-op ECG had showed a possible MI.I needed a cardiac workup before being cleared for surgery. Dr. Yu complained to me about that. It took one month to schedule my stress test, thus delaying my operation further, and he informed me it would take my insurance a month to approve the stress test anyway. I was told Dr. Yu would call me with my test results. Instead, secretary called and left a message on my husband's phone. Staff are unfriendly.
