Dr. Elliot Schwarzenberger, MD

My experience with Dr. Schwarzenberger is fantastic. He is very caring and takes time to treat you and answer your questions.

Dr. Schwarzenberger was on time warm and welcoming as always. He also has full command of my situation and explains his treatment plans exceptionally.

Once I was able to see Dr Schwarzenberger, the visit flowed smoothly. He understood my issue and took the time to examine me thoroughly. Told me what to look for and to call with any issues.

I was a new patient for Dr. Shwartzenberger but wanted to see him particularly because my husband is under his care.Di tor is very professional, knowledgeable, has a good sence of humor, and very pleasant as a person.I recieved some answers on my questions and started treatment.

Empathetic, honest, professional, accommodating and knowledgeable.It’s so convenient to come see him at his office location, but he does offer telehealth, which makes it so much easier to speak with him on urgent matters. I’m very grateful for the time he has given me and consider myself lucky to be in his care.His physicians assistant, James Schaeffer, is also such a pleasure to work with. They make it so much easier to get care for difficult medical conditions and they are diligent in their efforts to bring relief to their patients.Absolutely recommended.

Even though I've been with Dr. Schwarzenberger several years, I'm so happy that I found him. He's very knowledgeable and competent. He takes time to explain things (i.e., medications, how the colon and intestines work and react to certain medications, etc.) and I've never felt rushed. He seems to be so down to earth. I feel that, as a patient, he listens to and hears me if I have concerns or wish to discuss something further. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a gastroenterologist. When I mentioned his name to one of my other physicians, her comment was, 'Oh, he's excellent.' Yes, he is.

Dr. Schwarzenegger was very helpful. He listened carefully to what we had to say, was very attentive to the needs of our son, who has special needs, and sent us on our way with an effective action plan to deL with our son's GERD.

This was my first visit, I was made very comfortable. Everything was was explained and very understandable.

Dr. Schwarzenberger and team (G.I. Technician, Anesthesiologist) were professional and kind. They made my colonoscopy procedure a pleasant one.

Arrived 30 minutes early for my scheduled colonoscopy. Secretary Miriam at 2pm refused to allow me to have the procedure because my wife who is a school teacher is not available to talk on the phone until after 3pm. My scheduled pick up time was 3:45pm following my colonoscopy procedure. Completely frustrating. Loss of pay & poor communication.

Have been a patient for a number of years and feel like I always get great care with Dr Schwarzenberger. His knowledge is extensive and he takes his time and listens to his patients. Had a procedure with him at his surgery center and everything there was wonderful too.

He takes a lot af time with you. He has great mannerisms. Very knowledgeable physician

Dr. Schwarzenberger is great. He is very personable, really listens, and takes the time to explain things. He doesn't keep his nose on a chart or a computer screen, he's paying attention.

Prior to my first visit, I received a call from Dr. Schwarzenberger. He went over the many diagnoses and details in my medical record. He gave me an overview of what I could expect in the office. When I met him in person, his kindness shocked me. Of course his knowledge was astounding; but it was his kindness, patience and empathy that left me speechless and hopeful.

He was very patient friendly as he entered the room. Made me feel relaxed and comfortable. He listened carefully to my concerns. His responses were to my understanding. Took time to explain why I was referred to him and how we were moving forward .I was very pleased with my visit.

Everything went smooth from my walking in the door to my leaving after my procedure. Dr. Schwarzenberger was amazing along with all of the nurses and anesthesiologists. They all made me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend this office.

Boy did I get lucky with this first time visit to Woodholme. Dr Schwarzenberger was the first available GI and I needed/wanted to get an appointment as soon as I could. This doctor made us feel quite comfortable with his manner and apparent knowledge of my particular area of concern. He showed me not only my X-rays but also X-rays of similar issues in other people. He described what my diagnosis meant and put us at ease following his physical examination of my stomach. He was extremely easy to talk to which always helps when you’re concerned about your health. Based upon this initial visit, I feel that I can recommend him highly.
