LUMBAR surgery L4-5 Severe spinal canal stenosis
I was diagnosed, by MRI, with Lumbar L4-5 severe spinal stenosis. Dr Pedlow performed the surgery at Mass General Hospital in Boston. The surgery was completed as scheduled and on time. Prior to surgery, I had severe lower back pain for over a year, that would not go away. I tried PT, chiropractic and medications which had little effect. The MRI was taken which revealed a CYST growing on my lumbar L4-5 spinal cord and pushing the spinal cord to the side. 'Lesion results in severe spinal canal stenosis with mass effect upon the adjacent descending right nerve.' Post surgery went exactly as Dr Pedlow described. I followed the post surgery instructions to the T! After the six weeks post surgery, I began my six weeks of PT. I feel GREAT! I cannot thank Dr Pedlow enough for the successful surgery. He and his team were fantastic throughout the process. Very supportive. I gained back ten years of my life as far as back pain is concerned. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Frank Pedlow.

Highly Recommend
Dr. Pedlow gave me my life back. People say that, but he really did. I was in tremendous pain for over 2 years due to a trapped nerve and a very degenerative spine. When everyone else said they couldn’t do anything and the next step was pain management, Dr. Pedlow and his amazing staff operated and now I am nerve pain free! It was instant relief and now I can walk more than 50 feet at a time and enjoy my grandchildren again! I cannot fully express my gratitude to Dr. Pedlow and his team!

After living in so much pain, I realized that I had no choice but to have back surgery. Knowing that Boston is the place to go, my husband insisted on researching doctors. Dr Pedlow being surgeon of the year made quite an impression on us. I am now 8 months postop and pain free. I sincerely recommend to anyone needing relief from pain..he is the surgeon to consider. I felt 100% confident in his talent to manage my pain with surgery.
