Dr. Fred Lindsay, DO

I chose 1 star because it is required. My personal selection would be 0. A surgery was performed by him that resulted in esophageal perforation 9 months ago. To this day, I am still having problems and probably will for the remainder of my life. SHAME ON FRED LINDSAY because he never owned up to creating this devastating injury. His office was notified I was having complications on a Friday. He closed his office for the weekend and never responded until he was notified by ER. Sad to say, I almost lost my life because of his negligence. From ER to ICU and a ventilator. He even had the audacity to keep calling me to come into his office. If you’re in need, seek medical attention somewhere else. SHAME ON YOU LINDSAY!!!

In my opinion Nothing stood out to me. He was speechless knowing he had performed a surgery that ended with an esophageal perforation as well as sepsis. Due to him and his staff failing to return a call for this emergency, he never spoke on what prevented them from contacting us. Sentara Leigh Hospital Norfolk VA was our lifesaver. SHAME ON YOU!!!

I can both even fathom the words to describe this doctor hands down the best doctor I’ve ever met. Doctors now a days could learn a lot from him!

He did my sinus surgery! Best decision I have ever made. I am so much more healthier. My sinus scan didn't show much but I was constantly feeling like I had a sinus infection. Dr. Lindsay listened and we scheduled my surgery. I'm a year and a half out and I haven't had anymore sinus issues!

I really like Dr. Lindsay. He really kept it real with our discussion. He admitted not knowing something and didn't try to pretend that he did.

Here’s why to go to Dr. Lindsay. I’m 40’s, I’m an athlete and in good health, but I had chronic sinusitis. I had bad sinusitis as a teen, I had my nose broken 4 times from wrecks, military service and a fight back in my 20s. I told my other ENT about my prior nose issues and she said I wasn’t a good surgery candidate because of my multiple nose fractures. I thought I was doomed to sinusitis forever, then I met Dr. Lindsay. I knew he was an ENT but I’d been seeing another doc for my chronic nose issues but I asked for a visit, and he had the EXACT OPPOSITE opinion- he thought I was a great candidate for surgery. So, I pulled the trigger on it. The surgery went well, the recovery exactly as he said it would and OMG the NEW nose! You cannot imagine what it is like to be able to breathe freely through your nose after TWENTY YEARS of issues. Dr Lindsay and staff were excellent. I proudly take the time to write post this to give HR ENT kudos for a job well done. You guys rock. Thank YOU!

Wonderful , professional and friendly doctor and his staff. He assisted in my brain surgery and I will always recommend him and his staff. They are very professional , understanding and friendly. I also have regular allergy shots and the staff treats me like I am one of their family members. I have always received same day appointments for my urgent care. I never have long waiting time for regular check ups. If there is a delay the staff will always come out to inform you, God Bless you Dr. Lindsay and all of your staff. Thank you again. Stellar! This doctor is brilliant. My "mystery", according to other specialists, is being taken care of now thanks to Dr. Lindsay and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Lindsay has taken care of me during two emergencies. He also has taking care of me on many occasions with regular appointments. The first Emergency was a bleeding ear. It was 4:30 on a Fridayafternoon and my ENT at that time wanted me to go to the ER. I called my primary physician who immediately called Dr. Lindsay. I was in his office as soon as I got there. Yesterday I had a severe nosebleed. Felt like I was drowning in my own blood. Bleed was cauterized. He is a kind competent Doctor.

Dr Lindsay was very professional but compassionate when I went to him needing a total thyroid removal. I felt very at ease with him as did my husband. We were informed and confident. I would recommend him to others facing this scared surgery! Thank you,Dr. Lindsay and your staff for your care and concern.

Hands down the best physician I have seen for my allergies, sinus issues and Narcolepsy. My daughter sees him too

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Lindsay's professionalism and warm caring bedside manner. I have had an extreme fear of going to ENT from early childhood due to multiple ear problems from birth and has avoided them since my adulthood even if I had earaches. Dr. Lindsay's approach put me at ease immediately and I highly recommend him. I have only seen him once thus far. However, I will be seeing him again in two weeks.

I visited Dr. Lindsay in June 2017 for an issue I was having with my right ear. Since May I had been experiencing tinnitus daily and one to two days a week my ear was blocked/clogged which diminished my hearing in that ear for several hours up to an entire day. I left Dr. Lindsay's office the day of my first appointment with no clear diagnosis but a follow-up hearing test was scheduled for two weeks later. In between my first visit and the date of the follow-up hearing test my symptoms increase

Dr. Lindsay excels at his specialty. My 4 year old son was at Patients First every weekend. He was constantly sick with ear infections and respitory problems. We went to see Dr. Lindsay and he fixed him up and now he has a healthy, excellent quality of life. He has not been sick in over a year!!! My son had ear tubes put in, adenoids removed and a tonsillectomy. He currently takes allergy drops like a pro. It is truly amazing how far my son has come. My son loves to go see Dr. Lindsay.

Dr L was on call covering for Dr Queen, he was short, and lacked compassion. I wish Dr Queen had been on call. He always covers everything thoroughly and truly cares.

I have had sinus issues for more than 45 years. Since Dr. Lindsay began treating me in the summer of 2015, I have seen vast improvements i. He performed several sinus surgical procedures on me in October 2015. Since then, my symptoms are less severe and my sinus infections less frequent. When they do flare up, Dr. Lindsay treats me rapidly and aggressively, minimizing my 'down time' and speeding up my recovery. I've seen many doctors over the years for my sinus problems, but he's the best!

I am 7 weeks post turbinate reduction and septoplasty surgery and wish I had the surgery years ago. I can BREATHE. The staff is amazing. Dr. Lindsay thoroughly explains everything from the risks involved to taking care of yourself post surgery. I have adopted his slogan, Dilution is the solution to the pollution. I did everything I was supposed to do and am extremely pleased with the results. I highly recommend for those who have ongoing sinus infections to see Dr. Lindsay.
