Dr. Galvan performed a Boston Scientific spinal cord stimulator on December 7, 2020. What relief I have gotten! I feel that I will be able to have a "normal" life, pain free and will be able to go back to playing golf....and enjoying it!

Had a pre-op office visit to discuss surgical options. Waited about 5 minutes before I was called back for x-rays. Thereafter I was taken to a room for the office visit where I waited less than 5 minutes before I saw Dr Galvan. After expressing my concerns we agreed to surgery to remove a defective neurostimulater. The surgery took place about two weeks later. While my surgery was scheduled for 1000, I was actually taken back 30 minutes sooner. The surgery went well without complications.

Excellent neurosurgeon and team! I went through 6 months of excruciating pain due to 2 inch herniated disc pressing on my sciatic nerve. I wish I would've seen Dr. Galvan sooner. He gave me back my life! I'm 30 y/o and doing great 2 months post op. TNS explained the surgery and gave me ease knowing I was in good hands. Great bed side manners! I have referred my family and friends to Dr. Galvan.

Laying in bed after 2 level fusion & 4 level laminectomy-I was terrified about any back surgery. Dr Galvan & his team of PAs, NPs, and other great surgeons MDs all were part of my case. I was referred and seen on a Tuesday and am laying in post op day 2 recovery on Saturday. My severe leg pain, inability to walk and to control bodily functions are alleviated. My back pain is at a high level due to surgery but they are planning on having me see teams of PTs, personal trainers & nutritionists! A++

My life has changed. I went from being curled up in bed in pain to walking distances with a walker for safety. He left no stone unturned. He believed as I did that my age was not a disadvantage buy an advantage. I was healthy enough for the major back surgery and I felt like I was a team member in my health. I have since referred 2 people to Dr. Galvan. One is getting ready for surgery and the other is still doing the preliminary testing done to rule in or rule out surgery. I love that team.

Galvan's staff scheduled my appointment , at their discretion, during the time Galvan was on vacation for a week. I only saw his PA who explained the MRI that my referring doc had already explained in much better detail. My questions were not answered and Dr Galvan never even called me back. I would not refer anyone to Dr Galvan! Just a way to make money and keep staff busy while on vacation.

There are no words to describe the expert and compassionate care I have received from Dr. Galvan. A year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with raging staph infections in both my cervical and thoracic spines and went into septic shock in the hospital. Dr. Galvan performed two difficult and complicated surgeries to clean out these infections and install hardware to shore up collapsed vertebra. No one else would touch me. With God's help, I have made a total recovery. Dr. Galvan saved my life.

After previously seeing two Spinal specialist who just wanted me to have surgery right away I can say with clear conscious my experience with Dr. Galvan has been fantastic. He did not push for surgery and let me seek alternatives for 3 years before I gave in and had it done. He told me when the time came, I would be ready. The last 2 months leading up to the cervical fusions were an agony but I knew my ordeal was over, soon as I woke up from anesthesia, intense pain gone, and recovery is easy.

I would highly recommend Dr. Galvan due to his expertise, professionalism and his excellent staff including his nurse practionier and anesthesiologist. He successfully drained and cauterized a synovial spinal cyst that was in a difficult area to access L4-L5. I am pain free and without negative residual effects from the surgery.

I felt my concern was taken very seriously and Dr. Galvan and his team did everything to make it happen as quickly as possible less than 2 weeks from start to finish. I am now (as of today) A little over 2 months past my surgery and I am very happy with the outcome. My typical deal with doctors is I stay away from them, but I would gladly come back if I needed his services again. I hope I never do need surgery again, but he would be the Dr. I would go to.

Dr. Galvan performed a spinal cord stimulator implantation surgery for me. His team is very talented and knowledgeable. After a successful trial, I was eager to have my surgery. Dr. Galvan was recommended to me by my own pain management specialist, as well as by several other practitioners that help patients with chronic pain. I was surprised to hear his name by various unrelated practitioners. Now I know why; Dr. Galvan and his team are talented. I feel fortunate and most importantly, BETTER.

I was scared by the thought of having surgery to fuse my C6 and C7. However, Dr. Galvan and his staff made every effort to ensure that I was educated prior to and after my procedure. He and his nurse practionioner, Cynthia took the time to explain and build trust with my family and me. If you are looking for an excellent neurosurgeon, you have found him.
