Old School wasn't right for me
Unfortunately, I need to have a double mastectomy. Navigating this is hard enough - there are lots of strangers who want to see you naked! Let alone the mental health issues surrounding it. Well, the first thing this doctor said to me upon opening my vest (love the new vests!) was, 'Wow! Someone was first in line when they were handing out breasts!'Considering that the reason for my surgery is genetic and I have very little control over my breast size, I was taken aback by her comment while I was in my most vulnerable state (I guess under anesthesia is more vulnerable), which is why I switched surgeons. It's not okay to make comments on people's bodies like this.
