Dr.Liu is genuinely dedicated in treating your individual needs. He has led me on a healthier plan to relieve my low back pain. He is caring and very knowledgeable in his field. His staff are friendly, helpful and professional.

Office staff very attentive and patient. Dr Liu took his time to explain his thoughts on my condition and moved forward with proper referrals to get a full diagnostic view of my what is going on with my back.

Dr. Lui listens to me about my pain issues and back problems. Did a laminectomy on me i have had only great results with my lower back. He did injections first to see if it would relieve the pain. The injections did not work. The office staff were wonderful, if I had an issue, they were right on it.

Time in waiting room is minimal. Appointments are to the point, quick without rushing you. Very proficient, wonderful people.

The doctor had a plan my first visit. Bar none, best orthopedic visit I have ever had. He doesn’t talk down to me, but listens carefully to what I am saying. Staff is amazing and knowledgeable. They have helped tremendously in coordinating my visits and consults with other healthcare professionals. Little waiting. I’m commuting from Corpus area so I would recommend them to those out of San Antonio area. Conveniently located around other health care, restaurants and hotels.

Dr. Liu performed 2 major surgeries 3 days apart. My nerve damage was so bad I was losing feeling in both my legs. I am now in week 4 of recovery and I feel like myself again. I cannot wait until I am fully healed. He is compassionate, kind and yet direct in answering your difficult questions. My pre-surgery testing so very extensive to make sure I could handle 2 5-6 hour surgeries within 3 days. Each specialist had to pass me before he would operate. And through it all he does have a sense of humor that was great and personable.

He seemed to be very knowledgeable, and was thinking of other possibilities that I had not. Very kind man.

I re-ruptured a disc that another surgeon had operated on. That surgeon suggested I needed more surgery now. I saw Dr Liu and his opinion let me try some other modalities before jumping into surgery. I ended up not needing surgery. My spine has stabilized. I find him very easy to speak with. He listens carefully. He seems very thoughtful. And he's not rushing me into surgery which I greatly appreciate.

I’ve had back issues & treatment for 40+yrs. We moved to Texas from the East Coast 3yrs ago, and my back issues returned. Fortunately, I was referred to Dr Hongbo Liu, who was said to be one of the best surgeons. After trying all non-surgical steps, it became evident that spinal fusion at L4, L5, S1 was needed. At each pre-op step, everyone from the hospital labs to other physicians’ offices, high praise was given to Dr. Liu. One noted that he is “very particular” about procedures. If a test wasn’t done correctly, it was redone. Due to previous cancer surgery, my spinal surgery was completed in 2 surgeries, extending my hospital stay. My hospital stay and subsequent recovery were excellent. 3mos post-surgery, I’ve begun light jogging, something I haven’t done in 9mos. I have Dr Liu and his team to thank for that. At Innovative Spine & Orthopedic Clinic, I was treated with care and respect. Both the admin staff and medical team are competent, courteous, friendly and professional.
