Throughout my whole cancer journey Dr. Petrikas has been fantastic. He has been patient with me as his patient, explains everything very clearly and made sure I understood what was going on with my treatment plan. All follow ups have been great.

Dr. P is a great radiation oncologist. He's straight forward, informative and listens to your questions and concerns. He's a teacher at heart and enjoys explaining the process and the technology, in detail, illustrating on the white board and all. I found it refreshing that this doctor took the time to get into the details with me.Unfortunate note is that TX Oncology's contracted scheduling service for this location is horrible. This is no reflection on Dr. P as he doesn't make that business decision, I assume. The service will independently (according to the radiation staff) reschedule your appt and provide you nor the staff with any notification; meaning, you may arrive for your appt, only to find it's been rescheduled to a different time in the day! OR, the system may email & call you with a reminder, but at a revised appt time, which is a surprise to the staff when you miss the appt you thought you had. The staff is aware of the issue, but seemingly unable to rectify.

Dr. Petrikas is always wonderful at explaining any questions I have and compassionate in his approach to my care. In the year since the end if my chemo/radiation treatment, he has managed to help keep me, a very hypersensative type, calm and focused on what I need to do to properly recover. I have great respect for Dr. Petrikas and I am most thankful that he has been and will continue to be a part of my oncology team.

Dr Petrikas not only focused on my current skin cancer issue, but also on my ongoing prostate cancer issue as well. He explained procedures thoroughly and was very upbeat and positive, and has scheduled multiple follow up visits to make sure I am doing well. He’s a pleasure to work with on my health issues and I highly recommend him.
